workout reward system: new gear.

One thing about starting to work out when you're not used to doing it is that you don't have any of the gear. Yes, I have a sports bra.. but that's singular. One. One sports bra that I am supposed to sweat in every day and that the padding fell out of at least a full year ago. It's officially time to upgrade. I've decided that when I lose my first full 15 pounds, I will be rewarding myself with two new sports bras. I want fun colors or styles, something a little more exciting than my plain black one that I've had for ages. Below are some of the styles that I've been taking a look at. All under $50, of course, since a graduate student isn't exactly rolling in money:

While I sometimes wear a shirt over my sports bra (if I have to make an appearance around my brother/stepdad/the outside world), I typically like to keep it simple with just the bra as a top, especially because I tend to incorporate yoga into my work outs and it's very inconvenient when a shirt is hanging in your face/you are in forward bend and you're suffocating on your cotton t-shirt. But, obviously, I wear bottoms. I don't have anything (save for too-baggy yoga pants) made specifically for working out, but since I don't usually wear leggings in public, I use them for my work outs. However, they are all black. I'm starting to think I might have to also splurge on 2-3 pairs of cheap leggings, not necessarily made for working out, but it'd be nice if they were. But these will have to wait for when I'm ready for another reward, which will probably be when I am free from seeing the number two before my weight. Here are a mix of leggings made for working out and some that aren't. The fun prints would make it much more exciting to get dressed for my cardio:

What do you wear during your workouts? Do you have a reward-system for when you make major strides? I'm trying to set it up to be exercise or health related so that I don't use it for an excuse to eat shitty food (last time, I rewarded myself with CUPCAKES. How contradictory is that?!) or to spend $50 on a bag I don't need.
